0 – 45 pts
We compare the listing price against a benchmark average for each model (911, Cayman, Boxster). A car priced at the average earns ~25 pts. Every percent below average adds points — a car priced 30%+ below market can earn the full 45. Priced above market? Scores drop toward 0.

Mileage for Age
0 – 30 pts
We calculate expected mileage based on the car's age (~12,000 mi/year). A car with half the expected miles scores near the maximum. A car with double the expected miles earns close to 0. Low-mileage examples are rewarded; high-mileage examples are penalised.

Model Year
0 – 15 pts
Newer cars score higher, reflecting more modern safety, tech, and powertrain refinements. A 2024 model earns close to the full 15 pts; a 2004 model earns closer to 0.

Auction listings can earn a bonus:
No Reserve +5 pts — the seller has committed to selling at any price, creating a genuine price-discovery opportunity.
Great Deal +10 pts — flagged as an exceptional value by our scoring algorithm.
Score labels
Bid Gravity — Auction bids accelerate sharply in the final hours, so a low current bid with 4 days left is not a real price signal. We automatically dampen the price component based on time remaining: 4+ days out the price score counts for only 30%, rising to 100% in the final 24 hours. The score tooltip will show
"Xd left — Bid Gravity applies" when this is active.
