🏎️

Built for Porsche buyers,
not dealerships.

FlatSixFinder scans every major marketplace in real time so you can find the best deal on a 911, Cayman, or Boxster — without spending hours doing it yourself.

Our Mission

Buying a used Porsche is exciting — but it's also one of the most research-heavy car purchases you can make. IMS bearings, Mezger vs M96 engines, 997.1 vs 997.2, DFI carbon buildup, model year quirks… the list goes on. Meanwhile listings are scattered across six different platforms, each with their own search interface.

FlatSixFinder brings it all together. We pull live listings from every major source, score them against real auction data, flag risks, and give you the tools to make a confident decision — all in one place, for free.

Features
🎯
Deal Score
Every listing is scored 0–100 based on price vs real sold auction comps, mileage, year, and engine risk. Higher = better deal.

🎨
Color Value Index
Which paint colors hold value best at auction? Guards Red vs. GT Silver Metallic vs. Chalk — ranked by average price from live listings and closed auction results, with a vs-model-average premium/discount for each color. Nobody else has built this for Porsches.
💎
Spec Rarity Score
For each listing, we count how many other live listings share the same model, trim, and transmission. When that number is 5 or fewer, the card shows a rarity badge — "1 of 2 manual GT3s listed" or "Only manual Speedster listed right now." Rare specs consistently command premiums at auction; buyers pay more when alternatives are scarce, and knowing you're looking at a genuinely uncommon combination changes how you should price and negotiate.
🔀
Generation Comparison Tool
Pick up to three Porsche generations and compare them side-by-side using real closed auction data: average prices, P10–P90 price ranges, average mileage at sale, transmission splits, top trims, and 6-month price trends. Baked-in known issues and buyer's takes for every generation from 996 through 992 and 987 through 718. Shareable URLs so you can send your exact comparison to a friend.
⏱️
Auction Timing Heat Map
Which day of the week and month of the year do Porsche auctions close highest? Built from 1,200+ closed BaT and PCarMarket sales with confirmed dates. Wednesday and Friday auctions run 5–6% above average — data the platforms themselves don't publish.
💰
Ownership Cost Estimator
Enter your target purchase price and get a realistic 5-year cost breakdown: insurance by price tier, Porsche-interval maintenance (oil service, brake fluid, major service, PDK fluid), tire and brake amortization, statistically likely repairs, and depreciation. Built from PCA community data and factory service intervals across 12 Porsche configurations. No scraping — pure frontend math, so it runs instantly.
📈

1,300+ real hammer prices from Bring a Trailer, Cars & Bids, and PCarMarket — searchable by model, generation, transmission, and date range. Includes a scatter chart with a monthly trend line and links out to the original listings. The same data powers the deal scores and market estimates across the site.
🔧
Options Value Calculator
Select your generation and check off which factory options a car has to see their estimated resale premium. Covers 992 through 981. Each option shows a dollar estimate, a High/Mid/Low ROI rating, and a note explaining why — including honest callouts like PCCB being a wash on older gens due to replacement costs.

Create a free account to unlock your personal dashboard: manage price alerts with variant and generation filters, track a watchlist of saved listings, save searches, and review your alert history. All in one place, no app required.
How Deal Scoring Works

Each listing is compared against a benchmark built from hundreds of real auction results on Bring a Trailer and Cars & Bids — filtered to the same model, year bracket, and trim. The score reflects how the asking price compares to what similar cars actually sold for, adjusted for the following factors:

Price vs CompsThe biggest factor. How far below or above real sold auction prices the listing sits.
MileageLower mileage = higher score, calibrated per model generation.
Engine RiskIMS-risk cars (996/997.1 Carrera) receive a score penalty unless the retrofit is confirmed.
Trim CalibrationGT3, GT4, Turbo, and base Carrera scores are benchmarked separately — apples to apples.

Bid Gravity. Auction bids don't settle at market value the moment a listing goes live — they accelerate sharply in the final hours as competitive pressure builds. A car sitting at $30k with 4 days left could hammer at $90k. To prevent those early-auction listings from dominating the "Best Deal" sort with artificially low current bids, we apply Bid Gravity: a time-based confidence multiplier on the price component of the score.

< 1 day100%
1–2 days80%
2–3 days60%
4+ days30%

A listing with 4 days left and a low current bid is worth watching — but it isn't a confirmed deal yet. When Bid Gravity is active, the score tooltip will show "Xd left — Bid Gravity applies" so you always know why a score looks tempered relative to the current asking price.
